About RR in Ukraine.rnIn fact, the breeding of RR in Ukraine began in the year of 1994… First female was imported from USA, she was without documents and first experiences were very far from breeding that is confirmed to be as “right” breeding now. So the history of RR in Ukraine takes place not nowadays, a lot of dogs were imported from different countries and the litters were obtained in Ukraine, with different results – breed was new and exotic and nobody was very deep in it. Only last years Ukrainian dogs began to participate in big shows with excellent results – so we can see real progress among Ukrainian breeders. rnSpeaking only about last WDS-2011 results in Paris :rnChampionship of France – BOB- Heshimayakimba Grand Aquarius, 2006, breeder Anke van Wyk, SA, owner – Tatyana Volkova, Ukraine. And second day he, with his children, won BIS progeny group – 1 place in BIS ring at WDS-2011.rnRR Speciality Show- BOB – Abeni Zema Lion Chaser, 2009, bred and owned by Tatyana Maryina, Ukraine.rnCACs on WDS- Red Hot Line Abara Amarula Lady Star, 2009, bred and owned by Tatyana Volkova, Ukraine.rnSeveral dogs from Ukraine became also prize-winners of these big shows. These names are Akuo Baako Lion Chaser, Alonos Kastiel Lion Chaser, Aresvuma Zulu Zuka, Podarok iz Afriki Barra Joy, Podarok iz Afriki Mona Mari Chakanyuka, Rhodesian Pearl Aragorn Azulu, Red Hot Line Arik Abassi Crown, Saimons Pride Naila Oni of Red Hot Line – all these dogs were also from Ukraine, imported or bred by different breeders, but all of them are living in Ukraine and all of them were in prize-winners at least in one from 3 of show-days. Not bad results for Ukraine. rnrnBut to tell the truth, if we are speaking about dogs which were bred exactly in Ukraine – we can speak about:rn Inter, Multichampion, Europe Champion(2009)- Konsuello Flying Legs ( Boston x Rosita), she was born in 2004, owner – Tatyana Maryina, bred by V.Kulchitskaya, Kiev. Konsuello was the first dog from Ukraine who began to present Ukrainian breeding on big international shows. She also was EDS (2xRCW, 2007 and 2008) and Eurasia prize-winner(2xRCACIB). rnIn the year 2009 her owner Tatyana was registered kennel name Lion Chaser where was born the only litter from this famous dog – Lion Chaser. 3 of the 5 puppies in this litter are Champions of the Breed now. And it was daughter of Konsuello – Abeni Zema Lion Chaser :rn(Tina Trading Sharl x Konsuello Flying Legs) won BOB on Speciality RR Show in Paris this year (WDS-2011). She is multichampion now, and Zema is rnowned and bred by Tatyana Maryina – so she is double Ukrainian breeding, she is, like her famous mother, was born in Ukraine. rnNext dog of Ukrainian breeding, also rather young female, who have brought excellent results from different shows to Ukraine – Red Hot Line Abara Amarula Lady Star(Heshimayakimba Grand Aquarius and Podarok iz Afriki Barra Joy), 2009, bred and owned by Tatyana Volkova, Ukraine – CACs on WDS-2011, RCW on Crufts -2011, Multichampion.rnrnAnd of course, speaking about RR in Ukraine, it is impossible not to say about two very famous males in Ukraine – Aresvuma Zulu Zuka and Heshimayakimba Grand Aquarius. Both of them were imported to Ukraine, one from Russia, other from South Africa, they are not Ukrainian breeding, but are participating in it now.. and they have brought a lot of titles in our country.rnAresvuma Zulu Zuka (Tarujen Penzi and Aresvuma Bara Etana) , 2007 , breeder Svetlana Malinnikova, Russia; owner Sergey Gnilyakov, Ukraine – inter(23 CACIB), multichampion, and he won all biggest shows World Champion-2009, Europe Champion-2010, Champion of Crufts-2009. These are really amazing results!rnHeshimayakimba Grand Aquarius ( De Leeuwenjart Kilimanjaro and Heshima ya Kimba Chakanyuka), 2006, breeder Anke van Wyk, South Africa; owner Tatyana Vokova, Ukraine – inter (35 CACIB), multichampion (16 countries) , 2 x Eurasia Champion (2009 and 2011), Russian RR Club Champion. rnrnIn fact, in Ukrainian show-life are participating mostly the dogs I have mentioned. So, not much. Today we have just 8 interchampions in Ukraine, some young dogs are in process. rnBecause of such a situation it is difficult to plan some club life and shows. We have no enough quantity now.. In fact we have some Ukrainian kennels breed for some idea of creation … making tests and searching some interesting combinations.rnWe are trying to organize the club, but to tell the truth- now it is only the beginning. Every year we have the Day of RR – such a holiday of the breed. Third year it took place near the Kiev. It includes different funny competition, coursing, character tests, television and photo shootings. Last time one of ridgebacks – young talented male Faira Alex Furuf Afric ( Askot Alta Murano(CZ) x Chitonga Faira (Be)- presented to all others the professional lesson of agility- he is participating in all-breed agility competition in Ukraine and very successfully. Other young female (Amazing Panther from Qwandoya (Heshimayakimba Grand Aquarius x BAYO KABO Slunce Zambezi (CZ)) with her owner demonstrated us free-dance. So, it is super that people understand – RR is very trainable dog and we must use this. We have several fan of hunting with RR, and several dogs are participating in hunting trials, but it is just because of enthusiasm of their owners- officially RR is not a hunting dog, and they can’t participate in official competition. rnSo, mostly all RR- people who are fan of shows and show adrenalin are gathering on big shows, or a lot of people came to RR Day (because it is for everybody- a lot of pet-class dogs are very talented in sport and trainings. rn
